We have owned homes in Florida for over 10 years and have been visiting the sunshine state for over 25 years. In this time the vacation rental market has boomed. We realise our potential guests have thousands of homes to choose from and for many the temptation is to pick the lowest rate on offer. Everyone loves a bargain and we are no exception! We consider our rates to be more than reasonable for a home of this calibre - in low season a family of 12 could stay for around $20 a night per head in our luxury home...
By comparison a hotel offers less space & privacy, more noise, but charges for - well, just about everything! every cup of coffee, use of the internet, meals, tips and so on as well as the room rate. One of the reasons our guests return is the space on offer - even for a large family there is room for all to do as they wish whether it is watching a movie (on one of 8 tvs) after a long day, fun time in the games room, a refreshing swim or lazing on the pool deck. Family meals can be a relaxed affair indoors or out without a menu, a waitress and a check at the end! Just a visit to the supermarket to load up the fridge... All this is on offer at the fraction of what hotels near Disney charge.
